Hi my name is Elizabeth

I have a love for working with children.  The social connection of the programme gives me an opportunity to get to know all the children.

My hobbies include spending time with my friends, family and baking.

As the OSCAR Manager, I set up and run the programmes that we deliver. I have worked with children for the last 20 years and love the energy that children have. I like creating a great environment to have fun, whilst passing on some helpful life skills.  Our children are our greatest asset and it is a privilege to be able part of a child’s upbringing. 

The thing I like most about working in our team is the family feel of our programme and the relationships that we foster with each of our talented children.  Oscar gives us the chance to feed into the children of many families and get to encourage them through their lives as we get to know both them and their families. 

I started working for Neighbourhood Trust OSCAR in July 2018, starting as a casual and working my way up as needed.

There are many reasons why I have chosen to work within OSCAR; one of them is I enjoy interacting with the children, observing how creative their minds can be and being able to help them embrace their creativity and talents in many forms.

Secondly, I enjoy this job because I am really a big kid at heart and I get to show this off in this environment and have fun with the kids.

My interests are being in the outdoors, camping, reading, listening to music, photography and anything around being creative with film, websites, and creative writing (in particular, poetry).

Hi, my name is Charlotte

I have worked with children for many years as a teacher’s aide. I enjoy helping children to grow and find their inner strength. I have a long affiliation with the St Francis of Assisi community and am looking forward to working in the Neighbourhood Trust OSCAR to further be able to utilise my strengths. I enjoy gardening and baking in my down time and love sharing my skills with others.

I have been working for Neighbourhood Trust OSCAR since 2016.

I think the reason for why I have been working with the NHT OSCAR for just over six years is because, not only do I get to be creative and have fun spending time with the children, but I also get the huge privilege to watch them learn and grow into the best versions of themselves.

It’s so rewarding to stand alongside these children and experience a part of life with them.

My name is Samantha, and I am currently working part-time. I enjoy working at Oscar as I wish to train and become a Primary School Teacher following my graduation. My interest include looking after and spoiling my pets, which include my Guinea Pigs named Tootsie, Skunky and Piggy.

Hi my name is Kea,

I have always enjoyed working with kids through various roles over the last 7 years. It’s always positive being around the enthusiasm and energy kids bring to every activity. Seeing their growth in knowledge and understanding is always fulfilling. Bringing different experiences to after school care broadens kids’ perspective as well as my own which I believe is important.

Working with the Oscar Team has been brilliant to see the impact everyone has on the children and the supportive environment that continues to be upheld.

My name is Cam. I have been coaching children’s hockey teams for several years. I like the freedom that the programme gives for me to learn new skills and for the children to try different sports and activities. 

I love working with kids because they’re so creative and adventurous and I think that brings out the child within myself. Which helps me with my job at OSCAR.

My name is Amy.
I am finding working at OSCAR to be a rewarding experience as I get to watch the enthusiasm and creativity kids can bring to every activity. While also creating an environment where children are able to learn and grow into their best selves. Outside of work I enjoy reading and cross stitching.

My Name is Jorja Swift, and I am planning to train and become a Primary School teacher; this is because I have a strong passion for working with children and helping them to develop personally to the very best of their abilities. OSCAR helps as it’s insightful into what the future may entail and gives me a space to do what I enjoy. My hobbies include spending time with friends and family and playing softball.
